Zinc is one of the better budget finishes for damp basements: it resists rust much better than black oxide. Bells of Steel rates the bar to 1,000 lb but doesn't publish tensile strength, the number that tells you how much it can bend and still spring back.
The 28.5 mm shaft has power and Olympic marks plus a 120 mm centre knurl. That helps the bar stay put on your back in heavy squats; for cleans, some lifters find it scratchy.
The sleeves give 16.2" of loading room. How they spin isn't stated, so we score that part cautiously.
