One bar for squats, bench, deadlifts and the odd clean, if you want a well-known, American-made bar.
Your gym is damp and you won't oil the bar, or you want a centre knurl for heavy squats.
Rogue publishes 190,000 PSI tensile strength, a strong number for an all-purpose bar. The black oxide finish feels good in the hand but protects less against rust than zinc, Cerakote or stainless. If your basement or garage gets humid, plan to brush and oil it, or choose one of the other finishes Rogue sells.
The shaft is 28.5 mm, the usual all-purpose thickness. It has both power and Olympic knurl marks, so you can line up your grip whichever way you lift. There's no centre knurl: comfortable for cleans and front squats, though some heavy squatters like one to keep the bar from sliding.
Bronze bushings give a steady spin that holds up for years with little care. Bearings spin faster, which mostly matters for competitive Olympic lifting. There's 16.4" of loadable sleeve per side, plenty for home use.
