A first rack on a tight budget, especially in a low basement or a rental where you can't drill into the floor.
You want fine hole spacing for exact bench setup, or a big attachment system to grow into.
The uprights are 2.3" x 2.3" steel with 5/8" holes, rated to 700 lb. That's a common size for budget racks. Bells of Steel doesn't list the steel gauge, which is the number that tells you how thick the walls are. Most serious home racks are 11-gauge (about 3 mm); without the number, we score build quality conservatively.
Two heights at the same price: 84.5" for normal ceilings and 72" for very low basements. The short version leaves room for a pull-up only if you have headroom above it, so check your ceiling with the Builder. The wide base is what lets it stand without anchors; anchors are included if you want them.
The inside is 47.2" wide and 33.8" deep, plenty for squats and bench inside the rack.
If you want to squat and bench safely at home for as little as possible, this is the one to beat. If you plan to add lots of attachments later, a 3x3" rack like REP's PR-4000 costs more but grows further.
