Steel and build
The R-3 uses 2x3" 11-gauge steel. The wall thickness is the same as 3x3" racks, but the narrower tubing is less stiff and fits a smaller attachment range. Rogue makes it in the USA.

Garages with high ceilings and a concrete floor you can drill, if you want a Rogue made in the USA.
Your ceiling is under 8 ft, you can't bolt into the floor, or you're watching your budget.

This is the R-3's big catch for Canadian basements. It must be anchored to the floor, which rules out many rentals and finished floors, and it only comes 90.375" tall. The pull-up bar sits at 7'6". Check your ceiling before buying.
If you have a garage with high ceilings and want a Rogue, it's a solid, compact choice. For most basements, REP's PR-4000 offers thicker 3x3" tubing, lower heights and free shipping for less.
